What better way to start 2017 with new features for our Sponsor My Articles WordPress plugin. Over the Christmas break we added several features to the Sponsor My Articles WordPress plugin and these are:
- Shortcodes – due to popular demand, we have added the ability to use shortcodes anywhere you like. All you have to do is simply use the shortcode [sponsors-section] on a page or post:
- Sponsor Section Position – you now have the option to choose where to position the Sponsor section area. The options available are; Top, Bottom (default) or Shortcode only. We’ve always had the Sponsor section located at the bottom but now you have the option to have it at the top or use the special Shortcode above to have it located anywhere in an article. If you choose Shortcode only, then the Sponsor section will not be displayed unless the shortcode is included in the article
- Custom Post Types – the Sponsor section can be added to any type of custom post. All you have to do is choose the custom post type and it will be automatically be displayed either Top, Bottom, or if you’re using Shortcode only then you need to use the shortcode
As an example, let’s say you want to display the shortcode on a specific page. Select page in the Include Post Types
Add the shortcode to the specific page ou want to display the Sponsor Section
When you publish or preview the page, you will now see the Sponsor Section in the exact same location you added the shortcode
